Making a custom karting helmet at home (and on a budget!)

Custom karting helmets look amazing. They also cost a small fortune. So rather than spending hundreds on a professionally painted lid, I decided to see what I could do with my trusty old Amazon motorbike helmet, some chrome paint pens, a fresh set of custom decals and a budget that can best be described as "optimistic". In this video I give my old helmet a complete makeover, taking it from scratched, battered and generally a bit sad-looking to something that's (hopefully) worthy of another season on track. I'll show the full process, the mistakes, the design decisions, the finished result and exactly how much it all cost so you can decide whether it's worth having a go yourself... or whether I should have left well enough alone. If you're into karting, go kart racing, motorsport, DIY projects or just watching someone risk ruining perfectly functional equipment for the sake of content, hopefully you'll enjoy this one. 🏁 Items I used in this video: Helmet: https://amzn.eu/d/05RbscuY Chrome pens: https://amzn.eu/d/0dV6qulW Vinyl: https://amzn.eu/d/0g5UgHNx Knifeless Tape: https://amzn.eu/d/02EnV30Z Have you customised your own karting helmet?
