Battles are useful to get ressources and trophies, of cause you not may but WILL get attack right after unless you put a shield or still play. Daily quests are super importante for things like upgrades. Testing your defenses or other clan members defenses won't affect your ressources or trophies. You can also test the defenses of your clan base, if its not good enough, tell your clan queen to make it better. Clans can help you get ressources, talk, bonus, coops and silk.
