A hospice chaplain is a guide, listener, counselor, and spiritual companion—helping patients and families navigate the emotional and existential aspect of the end of life with dignity, compassion, and peace. A hospice chaplain’s primary responsibility is to provide non judgmental spiritual and emotional support—regardless of a person’s faith, background, or beliefs. They meet people exactly where they are, whether religious, spiritual-but-not-religious, or unsure.
