Elliot Sander at the Seattle Paramount Wurlitzer Pipe Organ (Seattle, WA)

That was fun! I was privileged enough to gain access to the wonderful organ at the Paramount Theater in Seattle this evening. This is a "PUBLIX 1" Wurlitzer (4/21) and was installed in 1928. This was one of the last large scale installations that Wurlitzer completed, given that silent films were being replaced with recorded sound to accompany the film instead of the organ. I'm really not a professional theater organist or anything, just a hobbyist who helps out at the Paramount sometimes. It was quite a learning experience for me, given that that I'm a church organist by trade, and the Wurlitzer is not my primary instrument and I rarely play one.
