Kehidupan Transmigran Bali di Sulawesi Tengah - Transmigrasi Kabupaten Luwuk

The lives of Balinese transmigrants in Luwuk Regency, Central Sulawesi, can be considered successful. Balinese people who previously migrated to Sulawesi have spread throughout various regions of one of Indonesia's largest islands. The government's transmigration program at the time aimed to alleviate poverty and ensure equitable population distribution. Consequently, many Balinese participated in the program. Meanwhile, Luwuk Regency was one of the destinations for Balinese transmigrants to Sulawesi. They were given 25 ares of land and 1 hectare of rice paddies and gardens each. Furthermore, the Balinese people in Sulawesi are now considered prosperous, with adequate housing, food, and clothing. What was striking about our visit to Central Sulawesi was how the Balinese transmigrants maintain Balinese customs and culture. This is evident in their harmony and social life. They live a simple life, live in unity, and help each other. Balinese culture, including art and the Hindu religion, is certainly unforgettable.
