Rinnovo del patto di amicizia tra Monte Sant'Angelo e Assisi

On June 26, 2026, in the Conference Hall of the Shrine of Saint Michael the Archangel, Monte Sant'Angelo and Assisi renewed the Pact of Friendship in the name of Saint Michael the Archangel and Saint Francis of Assisi. The ceremony took place after the solemn Eucharistic Celebration in the Grotto, presided over by Bishop Felice Accrocca and concelebrated by Bishop Franco Moscone, and after the unveiling of the commemorative plaque on the altar of Saint Francis. The Pact, first signed in 2014, has been renewed and expanded: not only between the two municipalities, but also between their respective dioceses, the Michaelite Fathers of the Shrine of Saint Michael the Archangel, the Franciscan Friars of the Sacred Convent of Assisi, and the Franciscan Friars of the Convent and Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli.
