Benninghoven RPP 4000 Asphalt Mixing Plant in São Paulo: Up to One Million Tons of Asphalt per Year

Benninghoven RPP 4000 with a recycling rate of 100 %. Usicity has been operating the Benninghoven RPP 4000 HG stationary asphalt mixing plant in the greater São Paulo area since 2024. The plant replaces older technology with limited recycling capabilities and enables a daily output of up to 5000 tons of asphalt with recycled content. The RPP 4000 processes various recipes and enables an annual production of up to one million tons of asphalt. Depending on the requirements, different mixes are produced and adapted to the specifications of city streets, airports or highways. Mix can be pre-produced as needed and stored in an intermediate silo with a capacity of 325 tons. Production is automated and monitored using modern plant control systems. Employees monitor all parameters digitally: recipes, temperatures, bitumen and RAP dosing. The system is operated via a clearly structured interface. All process data is available in real time. Employees have shown themselves particularly impressed by the clearly arranged operating structure, easy access to all parameters and pleasant working environment. The digital control system also enables precise process management in shift operation. The project was realized in collaboration with local partner Ciber, including technical installation, intensive training, on-site spare parts supply and a longterm service concept.
