Flexibility is a very important aspect of swimming and one of the most underrated. There's no hiding it if you want to perform effective underwater kicks. The position you need to maintain the arrow isn't possible without good flexibility. Let's look at some exercises you can do to gain flexibility. Before going into the exercises, I'll tell you that the goal is to form a habit that you can do after every swim session. It's best to stretch after swimming or any workout because your muscles, ligaments, and joints are still warm and you'll have a better range of motion without injury. After a few months, you should be doing around 30 minutes of stretching if you really want to get the most out of this practice. However, if you're just starting to form the habit, start by holding each position for 15 seconds and each week, add 2 or 3 seconds until you can hold each stretch for about a minute. Each stretch is static; you just move slowly to increase resistance. Don't do it that way. Remember to be patient and persistent. You'll see results little by little, but I'll tell you, they're worth it. The next video will be about basic exercises to improve strength for underwater dolphin kicks, so be sure to subscribe to this channel so you don't miss out.
