Good Afternoon travellers and friends, today we start a new set of adventures in a new Country! With a history dating back centuries, Mauritius was 1st discovered by the Arab Sailors who named it Dina Arobi (island of silver) then in 1507 the Portuguese came along and also named the island Ilha do Cirne. The Dutch are the ones who finally named it Mauritius after Prince Maurice van Nassau the ruler of Dutch Republic! Later on in 1735 when the island came under French Governance it was known as Ile de France. We will start our tour by exploring the capital city of Port Louis! Join me!
