Composing Workflow - Audio Stems Best Practices

When you're composing music and collaborating with editors, it is expected that you can produce audio stems, not only stereo mixes. But, why? And how? If you're curious about how stems could or should be part of your workflow, then this video will shed some light, I'm sure :) In essence, a stem is an audio file. What makes it useful is that it can be remixed or rebalanced by an editor to meet the needs of their project and workflow. Stems can be generated pretty easily, but it is still worth building them into your workflow. Exporting stems can be a drag if they aren't just setup and for most projects you can rely on a pretty static set of basic stems, which is really helpful. Today, I'll share what I do and provide some actionable guidelines for setting up stems in your workflow, too.
