In early January, I wrote the script for this video, recorded over 7 hours of footage, recorded the voiceover, along with some extra bits I needed to get started. I made a loose start, but life quickly caught up to me and the project sat on my PC until about early April. About a month ago, I carried on editing. I spent HOURS a day, refining every last edit, splicing all of the gameplay and commentary together, adding thousands of transitions, etc. But then one day, out of nowhere, I loaded up the project... ALL GONE. The files were sitting there in the bins. But nothing was on the timeline. No edits, no footage, nothing. I was mortified, I felt like crying. I took to Reddit to see if anyone could do anything to try and restore the lost footage, or at least point me in the right direction.   / videopad_just_deleted_3_months_of_work   u/festerbagel and I had an extensive conversation, and he could not have been more helpful. He received my files, restored the project, and even taught me how to downsize the huge files so this wouldn't be an issue again. u/festerbagel, seriously thank you so much.
