It quickly became a popular phenomenon. Its approachable, fun, and honest style transformed Amikas into a pioneering female-focused streaming community in Chile, bringing together thousands of followers who found in this space a perfect blend of entertainment, conversation, and emotional support. Over the years, the project has expanded with spin-offs such as El consultorio de belleza de las Amikas (The Amikas Beauty Clinic), Amikas Fan Club (the experience of going to the movies with your Amikas), and El club de lectura de las Amikas (The Amikas Book Club), as well as the books La guía para la vida de las Amikas (The Amikas' Guide to Life) and El cuaderno de actividades de las Amikas (The Amikas' Activity Book). All of this is based on the same essence: the camaraderie and authenticity among friends, with no taboo subjects and plenty of humor. Today, Amikas is experiencing a new phase with revamped programming and a broader live conversation format, solidifying its position as a leading streaming platform for women and pop culture in Chile. Afternoon Schedule (6:00 PM to 7:00 PM) • Monday – Good Afternoon Amikas: Hosted by María José Castro, a space for well-being, self-care, and companionship to end the day with positive energy. • Tuesday – Paranormal Tuesdays: With Valeria Luna, author of *The Horror*, a journey into mystery and the unknown under the premise of “the horror of the immense.” • Wednesday – Just Among Amikas: The authentic “royal slumber party” where unfiltered conversations take place about friendship, femininity, pop culture, and the issues that shape women's lives today. The flagship program, “With the Help of My Amikas,” airs live on Thursdays at 3:00 PM, strengthening the connection with its community in real time and offering more dynamism, humor, and current events. From its beginnings to the present day, Amikas remains true to its essence: a digital space where women support each other, laugh, and are part of something bigger. Because being an Amika is much more than a podcast: it's belonging to a community of conversation, companionship, and entertainment. Who are the Amikas? María José Castro Faúndez, also known as Lady Ganga, is a journalist, shopping blogger, and podcast host. In 2011, the editor of a supplement for Revista M discovered Castro through the deals she posted on social media and invited her to write a column of information. This is how the Lady Ganga character was born, with whom she continues to create content online. María José has written two books: The Functional Adult's Handbook and Things I Would Have Liked to Know Before I Was 30. Valeria Luna worked as a producer and social media manager at Rock & Pop radio. Later, she worked at digital agencies and developed a successful "beauty blogger" persona, which led to her writing "Skincare for Beginners" with Planeta Publishing. Her creativity also allowed her to explore other genres, such as fiction, with her book of short stories, "Horror." The Amikas project has also been recognized for its genuine and direct connection with its audience, offering a space where topics are chosen based on shared interests and audience interaction. Furthermore, the project has evolved into a company with a diverse team, including content production, audiovisual, and sales.
