Surrounded by the sea on three sides, with strong sea breezes, it possesses a desolate and expansive feel characteristic of northern Japan, making it a symbol for many who have "visited the northernmost edge of Japan." Besides the famous "Northernmost Point of Honshu" monument, Ōma is also renowned for its top-quality bluefin tuna, attracting travelers from all over Japan who come specifically to experience the unique harbor atmosphere of this northern town. This video was filmed during a trip to Hokkaido and Aomori, Japan, in late April and early May 2026.
