PORSCHE 911 GTS Review (991.1) | Is the 991.1 3.8 GTS the best road focussed 911? | Surely it is? The 991.1 Porsche 911 is seen by many as the best generation of 911. With it being the last naturally aspirated ‘base’ 911 you could buy, is it just nostalgia taking control? Or is it really that good? In this week’s car review, I try to find out.. and not only do I discuss its talents against the likes of the Turbo, GT3 & Carrera, but also the Audi R8 and BMW i8. With 992 911’s now moving to hybrid, and maybe even full electric in the future, we should we be celebrating this wonderful machine, it’s brilliant flat 6 engine, it’s masterstroke PDK gearbox and finely balanced chassis.
