PERMITS/ MODIFICATIONS -BMAA - Rob Mott - Interview- Technical Office

The British Microlight Aircraft Association have a team that look after aircraft Permits as well as Modifications, but what do they do for their members and also who are they. I managed to interview Rob Mott from the Technical Office to discover what they do and what is involved in their routine busy task. Born out of the need to challenge increasing regulatory pressure, arguably the most important role of the BMAA is to represent the interests of the membership to protect our flying freedoms and continuously push for further control of our own destiny. Whether it be to fight for open airspace, proportionate licensing and medical requirements, sensible airworthiness oversight, helping airfields in the planning process or the many other areas of representation that affect BMAA members, the BMAA is always there to represent the interests of microlight pilots and aircraft owners.
