Ivonne Arteaga grew up in a very strict Catholic family, where rules and rigidity marked her childhood. She suffered bullying, experienced an adolescence filled with insecurities, and although she never completely abandoned her faith, she sought meaning in her life far from God. After studying Architecture, a severe bout of epilepsy led her to a deep depression, making her believe that her life had lost all purpose. However, upon recovering, volunteering in South Africa transformed her heart. Serving children in extreme poverty, she discovered that true happiness comes from giving oneself to others. During the pandemic, she began an intense spiritual quest, studying the Bible, the Catechism, and Catholic doctrine. Little by little, she understood that what she had been searching for for years had always been right in front of her: Jesus Christ, alive in the Church. The illness and subsequent death of her father definitively solidified her faith. Today she lives in Madrid, where she leads a life of prayer, prays the rosary daily, actively participates in the Church, and affirms that she is living the happiest stage of her life.
