Storm Leonardo continues to batter Spain, with Andalusia being the hardest-hit region, having displaced 8,000 people and reported nearly 9,000 incidents in recent days. Emergency services have located a body in the area where they were searching for a woman who may have been swept away by the river in Sayalonga while trying to rescue her dog. Although the region is experiencing a seemingly calmer day in terms of weather, more than 150 roads are closed due to the storm in Andalusia, mostly in the province of Cádiz, and authorities and experts are monitoring river levels. Meanwhile, the break in the rain across much of Extremadura in recent hours has slightly lowered the alert level for streams and rivers, including the Guadiana, whose flow has stabilized, although around a thousand people remain displaced from their homes awaiting further improvement in the situation. Storm Leonardo has triggered a yellow alert (low danger) in eleven autonomous communities due to wind, rain, rough seas, snow, and thunderstorms.
