This video covers the Pahine-to-Taake Harsh stage of the Epic Sahyadri Trail (EST) near Nashik, Maharashtra. This stage is a 34 km hike with approximately 1,584 metres of elevation gain through forts, ancient tribal shrines, forests and plateaus. Starting from Pahine, the route climbs to Brahmagiri Fort, does an out-and-back to the magnificent Durg Bhandar, crosses the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga and then, through a less-hiked route, patches Gautamrishi Khind to the plateau of Brahma Dongar. The stage ends near Nirgudpada after Harihar Fort. There are multiple exits but no side trails on this stage.
