The home run that made me fall in love with Maeda... The following is an excerpt from Wikipedia: On September 13, 1992, in the 24th game against the Giants (at Tokyo Dome), with Hiroshima leading 1-0 in the bottom of the 5th inning with two outs and no runners on base, Maeda dove for Masahiro Kawai's hit to center field, but it went past him, resulting in a running home run that tied the game. In the top of the 8th inning, with one out and a runner on first, Maeda hit a game-winning two-run homer, showing a fist pump before running around the bases in tears. Later, he reflected on the game-winning home run, saying, "I thought that at the very least, I had to do something like that to make up for it." Regarding his tears after the home run, he said, "I was so frustrated with myself that I cried. In my next at-bat (top of the 6th inning, two outs, runner on second), I hit a fly ball to center field. I was so angry about that that I cried.
