[Higashinokawa District Miyanohira Village] A village in Kamikitayama Village, Yoshino District, Nara Prefecture There were seven villages in Higashinokawa District: Otsuka, Sakamoto, Deai, Furukawa, Miyanohira, Gomi, and Deguchi. Before the construction of Sakamoto Dam (S.34), Higashinokawa District had 133 houses, but after the dam was completed, only 23 houses remained in the Miyanohira replacement site. [Higashinokawa Elementary and Junior High School] Opened in 1890, closed in 1966, and closed in 1998. In 1961, there were 26 pupils and 6 students, and in 1965 (the final year), there were 3 pupils.
