Game-changer for making almost any colouring book paper "behave" for me :) | Adult Colouring

Disclaimer: All content on my channel is intended for adults. If you've watched my channel for a while, you know that my go-to colouring supply is my full set of Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Brush Pens combined with my full set of Staedtler Pigment Brush Pens. While there are small differences between the chemistry of the ink in the two sets, I use them together for virtually all my colouring. I have hand/elbow/shoulder issues and colouring with these pens means that I can get rich, vibrant colour with a fraction of the effort and time that it would take me to get the same depth of colour with coloured pencils - and that means far less pain for me. :) The one drawback has always been that not every kind of paper "behaves well" with these pens. I know - I could always scan images onto different paper but there's a (not :)) small part of my brain that insists that images stay in their books. :) I also know that one can use things like clear gesso or Satin Glazing Liquid to coat a page but those mediums gave too rough/too "mobile" a surface for the kind of colouring I wanted to do when I tried them (and they were kind of a pain to apply and then wait to dry :)). I then stumbled onto an idea that's been a game-changer for me. I've been testing it out and it really does mean that I can now use my beloved FC Pitt Pens/Staedtler Pens in virtually any colouring book with any kind of paper - even books printed by Amazon on CreateSpace paper - and get the kind of on-paper ink blending that's so central to how I colour with these pens. Let's take a look at what I've been doing!
