Higonokami | Handmade Knife | One of my favourite of all my knives ! The Higonokami kife is a simple, a little bit rough and in my opinion rather quite beautiful ! This is a handmade knife so it is never going to be perfect, however the blade itself is amazingly sharp and that one continous brass scale really patinas well after use. Using this from almost day to day i can honestly say i love using it, it is a tricky to open one handed when you first try but you get the knack of it rather quickly. I also forgot to mention in the video that after a few hours using this it does get a little sore in the hands due to the scale digging into the palm a little but that is my only minor quibble with it. The blade steel (white paper carbon steel) is another reason why i went for this as it incredibly sharp and holds its edge for a very long time whilst using it. Another reason for getting this was the history behind it, honestly if you have a spare bit of time just have a search and read.
