Exploring Heybridge Basin’s Secret Canal Village

Today I’m taking you with me on a slow, peaceful walk around Heybridge Basin. A small waterside spot in Essex that has a charm all of its own. No rush, no fuss. Just boats drifting, wind on the water, and a place that feels like it’s frozen in time. I filmed over two days: one relaxed visit (yes, including some very curious moorhens!) and another trip where I tried to capture some of the local history. There’s plenty of B-roll, a bit of storytelling, and the simple “real life” moments I enjoy sharing.
