DIVING SCENARIOS 1: Sidemount diver out of gas
Welcome to our first episode of DIVING SCENARIOS! Today, we discuss how a sidemount diver might find himself out of gas. Specifically, we will see under which circumstances a team of sidemount cave divers would need to share gas, if it is really necessary to dive with a long hose, or if it is better to use two short hoses. The sidemount configuration is designed for self-reliance, and needing to share gas with a long hose is highly improbable, but not impossible. We will simulate this emergency in the most realistic way possible, and with the minimum number of conditions possible.
