We visited the most popular resort in Cyprus, Ayia Napa, and the most beautiful beach, Nissi Beach, and... we were speechless; we completely failed to understand the phenomenon of this place. 🙈 Can someone explain this to us? How is it that a beach with artificial sand surrounded by hotels is considered the most beautiful on the entire island? 🤯 Such blue, turquoise water can be found in many places in Cyprus, and in many, in addition to the view of beautiful water, you can also see mountains and beautiful rock formations. Why is a town with a coastline completely built up with hotels, shops, and a park with strange sculptures the most popular? Ayia Napa is located in a part of the island where there isn't much to see. Cape Greco, the Bridge of Love, Crow's Arch, the Sea Caves, and the Cyclops Caves are a one- or two-day trip at most. It turns out we've completely lost our way and are nature lovers, because for us, the most beautiful beaches are those created by nature, regardless of whether they have sand or not. Places where you can listen to the sound of the waves, admire the views, sunbathe peacefully without fear of someone rushing past and throwing sand in your eyes. Swim without fear of being washed over, where you can truly relax. Ha! It's pre-season, so you can find beautiful beaches so secluded that you can swim naked without anyone noticing you. 😁 So why crowd yourself into a place that's loud, crowded, and you still have to pay for a toilet or shower to rinse off the salt. 🤯 Waiting in lines for photos and the noise of crowded Ayia Napa exhausted us so much that we decided to move on. We arrived in Larnaca, strolled along the promenade and the center, saw flamingos, and sampled traditional Cypriot cuisine.
