Speciale / riaperta la cabinovia dei Prati di Tivo

After a ten-month hiatus, the Prati di Tivo chairlift has officially returned to service. This morning, at 8:00 a.m., the lift resumed operation and will operate daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This is a moment eagerly awaited by the entire mountain community and tourism industry, which finally sees the reopening of one of the key infrastructures for the Gran Sasso Teramo area's economy. Manager Marco Finori, accompanied by his lawyer Gianni Falconi, was also present for the lift's first tour, to witness the return to the mountains after months of enforced silence. The issue of the closed lifts has been dragging on for some time and is far from resolved. Finori, interviewed on the lift, was unsparing in his criticism of the Province of Teramo and the Abruzzo Region, directly addressing President Marco Marsilio: "They haven't made my life easy," he stated, denouncing bureaucratic obstacles and a lack of institutional support. A completely different tone was reserved for the Municipality of Pietracamela and its mayor, Antonio Villani, whom Finori publicly thanked for their daily commitment to reopening the facility: "If we are here today, we also owe it to the constant work of the Municipality, which has never left us alone." The first day of opening saw an excellent response from the public, with the square full and a large influx of climbers, hikers, and mountain enthusiasts. Now the focus is on the future: a new court hearing regarding the management of the facilities is expected in September, but Finori is clear: "The winter season will happen. And we will be there, no matter what."
