This video presents the bells c#1 -d#1 -f#1 -g#1 -a#1-c#2 [do#3 -re#3 -mi#3 -fa#3 -sol#3 -si#3 -do#4] of St Mary church in Gaggenau. ➥ In 1976, the Heidelberg bell foundry cast a new, six-part peal for the newly built St Mary church. The master craftsman used a light, progressive bell shape. The instruments were hung in the three tiers of the open concrete belfry. As a typical modern ensemble from this period with a progressive rib construction, it has a homogeneous sound development despite the relatively open suspension. Today, this is enhanced by the fact that the #bells were given a wooden enclosure some time ago. This means that the sound is no longer as direct, but the overall sound volume has been significantly increased.
