The desk I bought at IKEA for 40,000 KRW has been used for five years, so I thought it might be time to let it go. But since I love the white color, and I’ve grown quite attached to it over the years, it wasn’t easy to part with. So I carefully touched up only the chipped areas and decided to give it a little more life. As for the mirror I received for free, I’m not sure how old it is, but looking at the cracks and peeled sheet, it must have seen many years. Similarly, peeling off one layer of sheet from the mirror revealed the natural wood color, which now fits well with my other furniture. Decluttering unnecessary items is important, but taking care of what you already have is also a meaningful part of minimalist living, I think.
