Hikawera Ferris - Tūrongo
Tūrongo is a song about the chiefly marriage between Tūrongo (Tainui) and Mahinārangi (Ngāti Kahungunu). Mahinārangi used a perfume called 'raukawa' which attracted Tūrongo and eventually led to their marriage. They named their Raukawa (who is the ancestor of Ngāti Raukawa) as a reference to the perfume Mahinārangi wore.
