🔩 how to use THREAD gages to recognize nuts and bolts

Understanding threads for nuts and bolts is no piece a cake. There’s some tools that make this task a lot easier. In this video I also show the system that we use to easily categorize nuts and bolts. I try to keep examples of every American standard and metric thread in stock so if I’m working on something there’s a chance that I have the correct nut and bolt that I need. In this video we go through how to use the thread gauge to determine the proper threads. Even with these thread gages there are some that are very similar in both metric and American Standard that can throw you for a loop. These three gauges are very valuable. They come free with low-cost sets of taps and dies that we get at Harbor freight. We found them out so we can easily access every thread. Picking the right threads is a necessity for being able to build or maintain anything.
