2030 Local Update of Census Addresses (LUCA) Training Webinar

The 2030 Census Local Update of Census Addresses (LUCA) provides tribal, state, and local governments with the opportunity to participate in the 2030 Census by reviewing and commenting on the Census Bureau’s address list prior to the decennial census. This webinar will provide an overview of LUCA, including key preparation steps participants could take and important dates to support planning efforts. Viewers will also be introduced to newly enhanced tools and demonstrations that highlight how a coverage-based, data-driven review approach can improve both accuracy and efficiency. In addition, this session will provide more detailed guidance for participants who will be working directly with address files and conducting block count comparisons. 0:00 - LUCA Introduction 12:14 - Participant Address List Template 33:54 - LUCA Geocoder and Address Block Count Comparison 54:18 - Census Viewers
