❄️Chevy S10 AC Recharge & Hidden Blockage – Real DIY Fix with R134a!

In this video, recorded in July 2024, I recharge the AC system on my 1997 Chevy S10, which hadn’t been driven in a while. Like every year, it needed a top-off of R134a refrigerant, likely due to a slow leak from the compressor shaft seal. But this time, something was different. When I hooked up the manifold gauges and fired up the truck, the high side pressure spiked to 350 psi almost instantly—clear signs of a blockage in the system. After shutting it down and trying again, the pressure surged a few more times before the blockage pushed itself free. I recharged the system properly, and the result? Ice cold air all weekend at Camp N Drag 2024, with 8 hours of highway cruising and 4–6 more hours around the campground. No issues at all. ✅ What You’ll Learn: Why high-side pressure spiking is a red flag How to identify symptoms of a blockage How to use manifold gauges properly for both pressure sides How to safely top off with R134a and confirm cold vent temps 📜 LEGAL DISCLOSURE: As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
