I visited Manado, a hidden travel destination in Indonesia. Last August, I traveled there via Bangkok and Bali. Now that direct flights are available, Manado can be reached from Incheon in about 5–6 hours. It’s a place where you can enjoy both mountains and the sea, and since it’s still relatively unknown, you can truly experience the local atmosphere at a relaxed pace. During my two-week stay, I went trekking on an active volcano, and also enjoyed scuba diving at Bunaken Island, one of the world’s famous diving destinations. In between, I spent my days at cafés, editing footage from my Central Asia cycling journey. I hope you enjoy this collection of moments from my two weeks in Manado.
