1ミリの珪藻土と、7センチの土壁。何が違うのか #土壁 #左官 #石場建て #竹小舞 #伝統工法
We installed bamboo lath and earthen walls on a traditional stone-foundation house built by Fujimoto Construction—a house constructed using a traditional method that doesn't involve building a foundation or using metal fittings. The base is constructed by weaving bamboo into a mesh pattern, and then three coats of plaster are applied: rough plaster, thicker plaster, thicker plaster, and intermediate plaster, resulting in a wall thickness of over 7 centimeters. This time, the intermediate plaster was used as the final finish, creating a space that can be enjoyed as part of the landscape. I was struck by something a senior plasterer told me: "When trying to convey the appeal of plastering, I've explained many things, but ultimately, it all comes down to—'I don't know why, but it's just good.'" There's plenty of evidence: humidity control, natural materials, CO2 absorption... But the reason why customers who actually visit Fujimoto Construction's model rooms choose to build their homes is apparently because they feel, "There's just something about this atmosphere that's good." The freshness of the air created by a 7-centimeter earthen wall is different from that of 1- or 2-millimeter diatomaceous earth. Perhaps it's something that can't be measured by information or numbers, but rather something that the skin perceives. Humans originally lived on the earth. That's why we're drawn to touching the earth. By placing such a natural material in a space, we can become more natural ourselves—that's the charm of earthen walls, I believe. Please consider an earthen-walled house as one of your options. • 和風建築内装仕上げ素材 土壁編 壁見本からイメージを膨らませる。土・砂・藁の組み合わ... • こうしておけばよかった!石膏ボードに本格土壁!?和風建築内装材 土壁施工 30年の左...
