Earthing of HV Lines & Transformers 11 kV to 33kV

The National Electricity Safety Regulations insist compliance to the Safety regulation. Violations are punishable as per the provision of The Electricity Act 2003 (section 146). Regulation 18, 50 and 74 are some of the important Regulation to ensure safety of people and property from electrical hazards at electricity distribution. The non availability of earthed terminal at consumer premise, continuous earthing conductor in distribution (mainly 11 to 33 kV overhead lines) lead to dangerous situation. Annually a total of 12 to 14 thousand people is electrocuted in India out of which 48 % are in the distribution.
