Filming aerial firefighters on the Post Fire

In behind-the-scenes episode 13, we go to film the first big fire of the 2024 season in California. Our goal is to film the aerial firefighters we’re following from the ground, but it’s not as easy as you might think. In fact, it’s one of the biggest challenges for this project. If you’re new here, this – what you’re watching now on YouTube – is not our end goal. It’s the journey to make the real documentary. Filming a project like this is logistically challenging, so it will take a long time to make it. We're a small team on a mission to make a docuseries about aerial firefighters. We have a lot of passion, some cool cameras, and an unhealthy amount of coffee. ☕️ We are sharing our behind-the-scenes journey to help raise awareness and eventually to help cover our costs and build the audience for the main attraction. If you’re just interested in the final product, this video’s probably not for you. I’d recommend coming back in the future. I promise we’ll get to more aerial firefighting, but this is very much a behind-the-scenes episode about the highs and lows of filming such a difficult topic. If you’d like to help us reach our goal, you can do three simple things. It might sound dumb, but subscribing to this channel is a small action for you, but a big leap for our channel. Two, share it with a friend and ask them to do the same. Three, watch the videos. Well, you don’t have to “watch” them… You can play them in the background on mute! The algorithm won’t know ;) Watch Hours tells the YouTube algorithm to push out our content and helps us get closer to monetizing which can help bring in a little income to cover the costs.
