After graduating from the music conservatory, she stepped into the music industry by working as a chorus violinist and singing in commercials. She lives a modest life with her aunt, who is her only relative in the world. Her simple life changes forever when she falls in love with Fares Al Daher, a wealthy and handsome businessman living in Jbeil, who belongs to one of the most ancient and deep-rooted families in the region. The Al Daher family is one of the oldest, wealthiest, and most noble Lebanese families. The family is headed by Laila Al Daher, Fares's mother, alongside his three brothers. Fares is his mother's favorite son, and she harbors great dreams for him, including arranging a successful marriage to a bride of her choosing. Although Fares leads an independent life, he is unaware of his mother's plans. Deeply in love with Thurayya, he proposes to her, and Thurayya accepts. Unaware of these deep family ties and ancient traditions, Thurayya accepts Fares's invitation to meet his family at their mansion in Jbeil to announce their engagement. However, their arrival comes as a massive shock to the ambitious mother; she will not easily accept or welcome this stranger her son has brought home.
