Navalny protests: Russian police arrest protesters against Putin

Russian police have arrested thousands of people across 70 cities during protests across the country. They were demonstrating against the arrest of Putin critic, Alexei Navalny. Mr Navalny's return to Russia in January triggered mass protests in support of him, many of them young Russians who have only ever experienced President Putin's rule His wife Yulia was among those detained and later released.
