Social media was quickly filled with messages from those who knew him and admired him. One of the people who suffered most from his sad loss was Yeraldine Larrosa, his ex-wife, who shared some of the most important moments of her life with the singer. Two years after that moment, the artist still holds him very dear in her life, as she told EL ESPAÑOL. "This December has been very hard, difficult, and sad. I have a daughter, and I have to show her that life goes on, that we must continue to have hope, dreams, and aspirations," she explained to EL ESPAÑOL about how she has coped with the tragic loss. Yeraldine Larrosa, known artistically as Innocence, has a 12-year-old daughter, Scarlett, from her relationship with actor Sergio Arce. Although she is not the singer's daughter, the young girl considered him a second father. "She is young and has many things to do, but always with the respect that was shown to Carlos. That sadness is still there, and we are trying to keep him always in our hearts," she continued. The Il Divo vocalist passed away in a Manchester hospital after spending several days in the ICU due to coronavirus. Although it hasn't been an easy time, Yeraldine acknowledges that it's time to "move on and keep working." One of the artist's wishes is to be able to pay tribute to her late husband, something she has not yet been able to do but which is in her plans.
