نبی اکرم ﷺ نے فرمایا :- کوئی دن اللہ تعالیٰ کے ہاں ان دس دنوں (ذوالحجہ کا پہلا عشرہ) سے زیادہ عظمت والا نہیں اور نہ ہی کسی دن کا عمل اللہ تعالیٰ کو ان دس دنوں کے عمل سے زیادہ محبوب ہے عرفہ کے دن 9 ذو الحجہ کا روزہ دو سال کے گناہوں کا کفارہ ہے۔ پس تم ان دس دنوں میں کثرت سے تسبیح کرو اور نیک کاموں میں زیادتی کر دو،سُستی نہ کرو The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “There is no day more honorable to Allah than these ten days (the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah), nor is there any day more beloved to Him than these ten days.”Fasting on the Day of Arafah, 9th Dhul-Hijjah, is an expiation for the sins of two years.
