Gouache Demo: Replicating Looney Tunes Background by Tom O'Loughlin for "A Hunting We Will Go" 1966
Happy Halloween! To start off Halloween week, I decided to replicate a background from the classic Looney Tunes cartoon, “A Hunting We Will Go” (1966) that was originally painted by Tom O’Loughlin. This cartoon stars one of my favourite Looney Tunes character, Witch Hazel. With her memorable laugh and dynamic bobby pins, Witch Hazel was unhinged in the best way. The background I replicated shows her wonky house, set on a hill covered in moon glow and dramatic shadows. I absolutely love the hot blue and purple colour palette, and the sickly green windows and moon. The whole image vibrates! I found this piece through the Instagram account: / scooby_scapes My Replicant Zoom Course: https://eringreenchildrenofthecraft.m...
