Australian tenor DONALD SMITH was the first voice to sing in and open both the Concert Hall and the Opera Theatre of the Sydney Opera House in 1973. Here Donald sings 'Ch'ella Mi Creda Libero e Lontano' from "La Fanciulla Del West" (The Girl of the Golden West) by Giacomo Puccini.The role of 'Dick Johnson' was a role that Donald performed many times both at the Sydney Opera House and with Sadler's Wells Opera/English National Opera in London.
