After Years Away, an Old Squadmate Called | DCS World Helicopter CO-OP

A few weeks ago I returned to DCS after almost two years away from the simulator. Not long after, an old squadmate reached out. Back in the day we spent countless hours flying together, practicing attack patterns, refining tactics and learning how to operate as a team. But flying is a perishable skill. In this video, 242 (Ka-50) and 104 (Mi-24P) take to the skies once again to find out what remained, what was forgotten and whether the fundamentals of teamwork still hold up after years away from regular operations. The mission focuses on rocket and gun employment within an inner-circuit attack pattern, emphasizing attack geometry, mutual support and communication between aircraft. Some things came back immediately. Others needed a reminder.
