How to Be a Major Leaguer Off the Field | Giants Prospects Get a Taste of MLB Life

Every year, a small selection of San Francisco Giants prospects are invited to Oracle Park to get a glimpse into what their life might look like in the orange and black. The annual “fall camp” focuses on teaching rising talent the proper way to train in order to build good habits that keep their body healthy and performing at elite levels. This year, camp organizers wanted to give some time and attention to all of the factors that make a player a big-leaguer off the field as well. Time was dedicated to personal branding, community relations, fan interactions, media relations, and social media influence. The 2024 session featured some of the top names in the organization, including Rayner Arias, Dakota Jordan, Walker Martin, Carson Ragsdale, James Tibbs III. We followed along throughout camp to document players as they learned some of this key info, with a special visit from Forever Giant Hunter Pence. Thanks to Tibbs, Zander Darby, and Jeremiah Jenkins who took the time to give us some heartfelt testimonies on what it would mean to be a Giant and one day make their MLB debut at Oracle Park.
