In this review, I share my unfortunate experience with a Huter 165 high-pressure washer. This was the second 165 model that burned out for no apparent reason. The first was purchased new and used sparingly. However, just a few months later, in the middle of summer, while washing two cars, it stopped working. Disassembly and diagnostics revealed a burned-out rotor. I tried to file a warranty claim but was refused. It turns out that burned-out motors in these washes are not repaired. Officially, they refuse due to overload. Behind the scenes, they say that many of these washes simply have very poor-quality electric motors, many of them burn out, and the manufacturer refuses to recognize them as warranty claims. Furthermore, I couldn't find a suitable motor. More precisely, service centers offer them for 3,000 rubles (about $3,000). That's half the price of a new washer. Many used washes sold on Avito for parts also come with burned-out motors and nearly new pumps. At the service center, they offered me a new, incomplete washer (the washer itself, without attachments) for 3,000 rubles. So I bought it. I sold the burned-out one for 1,500 rubles for parts. The second washer lasted for several years, but was rarely used. It probably didn't get any more use than the first one. It also broke down in the middle of a busy day. I was washing stone for a plinth, a blind area, and a parking lot. The washer ran intermittently for about three hours. It worked roughly like washing a car: pressing the trigger continuously for no more than five minutes. It was also hot outside, and it simply stopped working. Disassembly revealed the same problem. The rotor had fried and instantly consumed one of the brushes. Incidentally, the build quality of these washes is terrible. The body was poorly assembled at the factory. One of the screws holding the two halves of the housing together pierced the plastic well it was housed in and exited through the side wall. Another screw was then simply screwed back in place, but it became jammed by the head of the previous one. So, during disassembly, it took a lot of effort to unscrew this connection and remove both screws from the well. And everything was assembled with a pinch of salt. Microscopic screws and bolts for M4 and M6. The plunger pump is laughably small. The plungers themselves are 10x48mm. There is no ceramic coating on the heads. The seals and collars are very small and stiff, not rubber, but rather plastic. There is only one seal for each plunger. The springs on the plungers are also naturally tiny. The wedge washer and bearing are also microscopic. It's obvious that everything was done in a haphazard manner, without any safety margin. For comparison, I removed the disassembled pump of a professional high-pressure washer with 18mm plungers and a length of 98mm. The difference is radical. Ultimately, I'm completely disappointed with this brand's washers. Perhaps the top-of-the-line Huter model, judging by the stated specifications, is superior. But somehow, I no longer have the desire to experiment with their service and customer service.
