Elfriede (Friede) es la mayor de las tres hermanas que fundaron la Iglesia Azabache de Londor, siendo las otras Yuria y Liliane. La hermana Friede es una Latente, lo que sugiere intentó enlazar o usurpar la Primera Llama, pero fracasó, resultando en su resurrección como cenizas. Tras abandonar la Iglesia Azabache, se encontró con el Mundo Pintado de Ariandel. Allí, engañó al Padre Ariandel convenciéndolo de que la única forma de preservar el mundo pintado era suprimiendo el fuego con su propia sangre para evitar que se quemara, resultando en la putrefacción que lo aflige. Elfriede (Friede) is the eldest of the three sisters who founded the Black Star Church of Londor, the others being Yuria and Liliane. Sister Friede is a Latent, suggesting she attempted to link or usurp the First Flame, but failed, resulting in her resurrection as ashes. After leaving the Black Star Church, she encountered the Painted World of Ariandel. There, she deceived Father Ariandel, convincing him that the only way to preserve the Painted World was by suppressing the fire with her own blood to prevent it from burning, resulting in the decay that plagues it.
