We're at the most captivating stop on our Uzbekistan journey: the ancient city of Bukhara! In this episode, we didn't just visit the well-known tourist attractions; we embarked on a deep journey into Bukhara's soul, mystical history, and flavors. Our journey began with a visit to the Bahaeddin Nakshbandi Complex and the Seyyid Emir Kulal Complex, both dedicated to the founder of the Nakshbandi Sufi order. We then visited the magnificent Mohoi Hosta Palace and the iconic Chor Minor Madrasa, a symbol of the city. After a short exploration of the colorful and bustling local market, we visited the workshop of a genius craftsman who creates fascinating wooden magic boxes with secrets passed down through generations. We also didn't miss the opportunity to see the mysterious City of the Dead, whose atmosphere deeply affected us. We explored the significance of the City of the Dead in the Islamic world and the mystery behind why it's called the City of the Dead. After a busy day, feeling exhausted and hungry, we enjoyed a delicious, melt-in-your-mouth regional tandoor dish at one of Bukhara's most special restaurants for dinner.
