🗓️ Solo Camping by a Forest River – June 4–5, 2026 🌲🏕️🚐☕🔥 This week, I waited for the typhoon to pass before heading out for a camping trip. The weather was still a little grey, but thankfully the rain stayed away. I chose a quiet campsite deep in a forest, next to a beautiful river. When I arrived, there were very few people around. The sound of the flowing water and all the greenery made it feel like a perfect place to relax. I spent the afternoon setting up camp, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and preparing for a quiet evening in nature. The cool forest air felt refreshing after the humid weather of the past few days. ☕ Afternoon Coffee by the River: Once camp was ready, I made myself a fresh coffee and sat down to enjoy the view. The sound of the river, the cool air, and the peaceful surroundings made for a perfect moment to slow down and relax. 🍽️ Dinner – Grilled Meat & Vegetables: Before sunset, I prepared a simple dinner of grilled meat and vegetables cooked on a hot stone. The smell of the food mixed with the scent of the forest and the river nearby. Simple camp meals always seem to taste better outdoors. 🔥 Campfire Evening: As darkness settled over the forest, I lit a campfire and enjoyed a quiet evening with a glass of whisky. The temperature dropped to around 10°C, making the warmth of the fire especially welcome. Listening to the river while watching the flames was the perfect way to end the day. ☕ Morning Coffee: The night was calm with no rain and almost no wind. I slept very well. The next morning was cool and peaceful, so I prepared a moka coffee and enjoyed a slice of fruit cake while slowly waking up beside the river. 🏕️ Packing Up: After breakfast, I packed everything away and prepared for the drive back to Tokyo.
