We landed in India, and after literally a few hours, we felt like we'd changed planets! The encounter with reality here is a complete rollercoaster, one that no one is 100% prepared for. It started off interestingly, at night. Tired from our flights, we arrived at our hotel in a rather "atmospheric" district, only to find a large padlock and the hotel staff asleep outside the door. The morning wasn't any easier. We wanted to avoid the traffic and take the metro, but the Indian system rejected our cards and cash. We encountered a giant statue of the Monkey God (Hanuman), which turned out to be a temple.
