The European Triathlon Championships (Olympic distance) in Tarragona were supposed to be the culmination of my strenuous preparations this season. Unfortunately, sport can be brutal. A few days before the start, I crashed. In this video, I take you behind the scenes of my final days before the race, which, instead of rest, were spent fighting to regain full fitness. The day after the accident, I began intensive rehabilitation with a physiotherapist – I had only four days to get back on my feet before the most important event of the season. I'm showing you the classic behind-the-scenes of a championship event: the official briefing for the competitors, registration, and a tour of the cycling and running courses in Tarragona.
